This is a very interesting article about how there is more and more research money and then also therefore marketing efforts going into pharmaceutical development relating solely to women's issues.
This may be an interesting class discussion on why there was less focus on women's healthcare and needs in the past and why it is shifting in a positive direction now: Are women becoming more vocal and focused on in a positive way or are companies seeing them as the next big viable market segment?

I think that this actually lends itself to a question that was addressed in one of our earlier readings- until recently, all medical research was done exclusively on men!
Now, in my opinion, how someone does medical research about a woman's development and health on a man is beyond me...
Going off of Jonathan's questions... Why did it take so long for our nation's researchers to realize that in order to study women, you have to do it ON women?!
I agree with you it is absolutely necessary to know such as this topic and its significance for women's health.
Must gather the countries and international organizations focusing on issues of development of these areas and for States to pay, in order to improve the level of the health services to the community and in particular for women ..
